Full of Joy <333

LOL I stole Matt's Portal icons~ >:3

I JUST CAME BACK FROM MY PIANO RECITAAALLLLL... and and and I pwn'd. I DID. I SO DID.I didn't think that I would, but I did.  Ma and Pa said that I aced it :DDDD

ALLOW ME TO BEGIN WITH WHAT I'VE BEEN DOING THE PAST TWO DAYS. Practicing the songs for my recital. Two hours for two days. Each. Four hours. Maybe even more. More than I practice in a whole week that is. The thing that I noticed, is how much a difference there was in my songs after I had practiced them to death. Now I realize that I need to practice much. More. As in, longer than three to five minutes a day.

So, I was the second to last to play, right? 'Cause my piano teacher, Barbara, calls us up by advancedness. I was nervousness, nyehh yes I WILL ADMIT. My hands were shaking the whole way through. BUT I HAD A STRATEGY. Since the bench that my fellow pianists sit their buttocks upon next to the piano, I let my lion-mane hair down so I could use it as a curtain to block off their stairs. Although the youngest one there - this cute as a button first grade boy - was like, all over the piano when EVERYONE was playing, so I could still see him. But it didn't matter. Even though my hands were shaking, I felt confident in those four plus hours that I had practiced, and I felt calm at heart, even though my hands had something different in mind.

I played Sweet Sue by some dude first, then Fur Elise by Beethoven, and then Prelude by Rachmoninov.

Barbara mentioned in the beginning before I played that I play with emotion, like I put myself into the song. Feel it. Ect. And after I had finished and sat down, the people in the row of chairs opposit me on the bench all said I did a very good job. They didn't do that for anyone else. NOT EVEN MELISSA QUINN MWUAHAHAH.

Ohyeah Melissa Quinn.

She's MORE advanced than me, although when everyone had finished playing, she was taking about the different levels of each student, she that that Melissa and I were basically on the same level. She's a freshman like me, in high school, but she started playing when she was like, four or five. I started when I was eight. But Barbara even said that even though we're basically the same level, we're two totally different playing styles. Me: Emotion. Her: LET'S PLAY THIS SHIT LOUD AND HARD.

But LOL, no, I'm not discriminatng against her. She played Phantom of the Opera which was the hardest song to play out of any of us. She started practicing it LAST May so, YEAH. It was pretty damn cool. Same thing over and over, but in different key signatures.

And after all of THAT, Barbara said to me that she had to go ino the other room (recitals are held at her house) because when I payed Fur Elise, she said that she teared up X3  I'm not like laughing at her for it, it just makes me happy that I can put so much emotion into songs that some people feel at way. AND, Barbara said that when I was playing, people near the back were sitting up in their seats and leaning over to try and see better.

PARDON ME, if it sounds like I'm gloating. I'm just really, really, REALLY happy at the moment~

OHOHOH, and this older lady (by older lady, I mean a lady in her middle ages) who is a student of Barbara's but didn't play, went out of her way to say that I was fantastic, when we were all out on the porch choking down the delicious treats out thar. And when we left, Barbara gave me and hug and a kiss and the older lady hugged me, saying that she wanted my talent to rub off on her XD

...YEAH, it sounds like I'm gloating, I'm sorry XDD JUST SO HAPPY NYEHHH.

But, yeah, I realize that I need to practice more each day ._. 'Cause my parents said that there was a noticeable difference from when I played my songs at my lesson on Thursday, to when I played them today. And that Barbara probably didn't even expect me to play so good.

I'm hoping to get better than MELISSA, 'cause I'm sick of hearing Barbara mention her like, five times each lesson D:< Yes she's proud of her, she's proud of all of us but PLEASE. I only need to hear that she pwns all ONCE. I have a good understanding of how she plays at this recital. I NEED TO LEARNS THAT PHANTOM OF THE OPERAS NOAWZ.

My dad took a video of my part of the recital from his POV on the couch next to the piano. :D SO NOW ALL CAN SEEEEEEeeee...~

AND TO MATT IF HE'S READING THIS WHICH HE PROBABLY ISNT. NOBODY PROBABLY IS ANYWAY CAUSE THEY DUN CARE D: But ANYWAY. I shall ATTEMPT to get Barbara to except you as a student. She just let all of the students that don't practice go, telling them she retired. I don't know if she's taking anyone else in. And it's only fifteen dollars for me because I'm the only one that drives to her house; she drives to everyone else's, so I don't know what she charges everyone else. SOOOOO... :3 If she DOES say YES, then you are going to need to practice your ass off. LOVE IT, BREATHE IT, LIVE IT. <--- that was to Matt, who probably isn't reading this.

...This post had seemed much shorter in my mind. HOMEWORK TO FINISHS BAI.
