LOL MY DAD IS THE AWESOMEST JACKASS EVER
- lol, I seem to have taken up a spontaneous, random fetish for Samurai Champloo, which is - for those that don't know - is an anime that mixes breakdancing moves and other such shizz with samurai badassery. It pwnz.
I knew about it before, but it's just recently that I'm all *LOVE* for it. I think it all began just today, only few hours ago when I was on my home computer (I am now currently on my laptop, because the 'rents are asleep and I don't think they'd appreciate a lullaby in the form of my loud, obnoxious typing on those loud, clacky keys; laptop keys are much quieter, although more prone to typos) when I decided to download Winamp, which is - again, for those who do not know - is a kickass music-player thingie that ownz Limewire on all possible levels due to its kickass downloadable skins. For example, I downloaded a variety of skins made from a variety of people whom I now worship, that completely do away with the default thingie I had. FOR EXAMPLE... the Samurai Champloo (where the sudden, bizarre obsession with said thing occured) one I downloaded is.. too awesome to describe now that I think about it, you'll just have to download Winamp for yourself to see its awesomeness.
ANYWAY, so following the beginning of my random obsession (that will probably be forgotten by tomorrow and I'll wonder why I have Samurai Champloo icons infesting my LJ), I immediatly scoured around the internetz for possible LJ icons of said show. THEN, after I had downloaded all I could find (okay, so it was just from one website, BUT THERE WERE ALOT), an idea suddenly struck me.
I could make these icons into pictures for my MOODSSSS.
So, thus, you have Mugen below down there, looking down at you in a judgemental STARE. HE JUDGES YOUR SOUL.
But the whole thing proved to be a surprisingly tedious process that took much longer than it needed to be. Immediately, I found out that you needed the URL for each icon you wanted to put in, so thus I had to go to Photobucket and make an account, upload all of the icons, then painstakingly copy and paste each and everyone into nearly every blanket white bar (and there was many. ohsomany). So then when I cheerfully clicked "Save settings" I quickly found out that it didn't work because I didn't put the height and width for them. Then I went back to repeat the WHOLE process, while monotonously typing "100" into the height and width bars. It was like hell. But I remained optomistic throughout C: *twitch*
Anywa- HOLYSHIZZ SHIN-CHAN IS ON YAAAYYYYYY <3333
ANYWAY... now getting to the point of the title which is probably pointless by now sinceallmost of you don't read my entries past the first sentence, with the thought "Here she goes with another novel-length entry again..." but STFU I'm *points to icon down below* and I RLY don't feel like going to bed even though my high is already starting to go down and I'm feeling tired. Besides, Shin-Chan is on. And I think Samurai Champloo will be on at one. WHICH IS IN FIVE MINUTES CURRENTLY. Or one-thirty. WHICH IS CURRENTLY IN THIRTY-FIVE MINUTES. Either or.
OKAY POINT OF TITLE. So, this was last night, when I was - as usualy - cooped up in my room hunched over the computer in a very Golum-esque way searching Google for hawtanimemansmex PRETTY PONIES AND RAINBOWS, when my slightly-ajar door came a-crashin' open with an unsettling scartch of its wooden surface. I just think it's mother, opening the door with a basket of laundry, but when the door remains eerily ajar, and no visible prescence enters, I momentarily take the headphones that always seem to be on my head when I'm on the computer whether or not I'm blasting music into head and thus damaging my ear drums (Okay, update, Samurai Champloo isn't on at one, Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex AKA Mecha-ish Show With Incredibly Long Name is. Maybe one-thirty then... perhaps I'll search for a TV Guide...). At the time, my headphones had been doing the aforementioned thing, so when I took them off, I hear a not-too-subtle whizzing noise and damn-near flip out of my dadgum seat. I look down and my remote-control green Jeep Wrangler which I thought to believed dead and buried in a junk-yard cemetary, is currently raping ramming into the leg of my chair.
Calmly, I grab it by the top, as it still continues to whizz its wheels pitifully and storm out of my room and lo and behold, the site across the kitchen, into the family room: father dearest is faced towards me on the couch, remote in hand and mother on the other couch, observing. Apparently my look of humorous annoyance was the funniest damn thing they'd ever seen, because as soon as they saw me exit my room, they broke into a fit of hysterical laughter.
After kindly throwing the Jeep at my father when I reach the family room (It was gently and it kind of entirely missed since it hit the couch/father's thigh), I take the thing for a spin myself, after years of neglect, and drive it around the kitchen with my mad skillz, unwittingly terrorizing my poor chinchilla, Grover.
I give daddy-kins dprops, since suppsedly it took him a long time to actually get it there - for his lack of skills - and because it was the last thing I expected to be making it's way into my room.
Father did the same thing tonight. Only it was expected when I heard the whizzing coming down the hallway, as I wasn't listening to any music. Then, when I returned it to him, he followed me back to my room and stood at the doorway repeatedly driving the thing into the leg of my chair, backtracking a foot or two, then repeating.
It was fun, and cheered me up last night whilst I was still emoing over the death of Heath Ledger. Still am, but I still feel happy (not about his death >< ), and it's more or less not wanting to believe that it happened. Ahwell. There's not use in denying it, though... Farewell, Heath, we loved ye muchlies~ <333
(Report! Samurai Champloo isn't on tonight! Damn you, adult swim, why have you betrayed mmeeeeeeee? DDD:)
